(1) According to sub-section (2) of section 9 of the Act, when determining the place and time for slaughtering animals, the meat supervisor shall consult with the local body and designate a place that meets the following criteria:-
(a) The floor of the place of slaughtering of animals is constructed in such a way that it can be cleaned easily, does not freeze and does not absorb water,
(b) Arrangements are made that no animal can enter the place of slaughtering of animals from outside,
(c) skinning and cleaning of the slaughtered animal, having facilities,
(d) Having clean water facilities,
(e) There is an arrangement to layer the waste from the place of animal slaughtering so as not to affect the environment,
(f) Having a suitable roof.
(2) The procedure to be followed while examining animals before slaughter (antemortem) and after slaughter (postmortem) in the place as per sub-rule (1) Schedule-5 and Schedule- It will be according to 6.
